I loved this free read so much I’m reviewing it on my blog Dec. 30. If anyone hasn’t read your work yet this is a great introduction to your style. I cried, I sighed, and I listened to some of the music referenced in the story. Beautiful.

Just finished reading this tonight. Lovely, lovely read. I love Hank and Scott. The only thing this book is missing, is a sequel! This is the third book of yours that I’ve read, and it won’t be the last. You sir, are a wonderful writer.

Firstly, I (and all of my characters) sincerely apologize for keeping you so late that you were yawning inappropriately and that your vision was blurred.
Secondly, and despite my apology, I am very glad and soooo thrilled that you enjoyed the stories. “Good to Know” was my first story published and “Sins of the Father” was my second (and a bit different than my other stories).
Lastly, I will consider myself honored to have you among my small contingent of fans and I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to read the stories and to let me know that you enjoyed them. You made my day!

P.S. I tried writing about the twenty-somethings, but it’s been so long for me that I really couldn’t remember what it was like to be that age. But then again, even my closest friends complain that I was probably born with a middle-aged temperament. LOL

Dear D W- I just wanted you to know that I blame you for getting my much needed beauty rest….I was up till the wee hours of Saturday morning reading all of Good To Know, that next thing I know the birds are chirping and it’s getting light out! I must admit that it was well worth my lack of sleep and blury vision (not to mention yawning inappropriately). I’m such a sappy, hopeless romantic, so this story was right up my alley. I love the fact that you have characters that aren’t the typical twenty-something heroes that dominate gay fiction…nothing wrong with twenty or thirty-somethings, but I like the more mature characters who are more settled and know what they want (which isn’t bed-hopping like rabbits) which is good when you’re in your 20′s or 30′s but tiresome when you’re in your 40′s & 50′s (oops speaking from my slutty past). At any rate your stories (which I have all now) makes me believe and hope that it’s never too late to find your soulmate. I just started reading Sins Of The Father (uh oh another sleepless night) and have found it so intense and well written. I’m glad that I found your stories and you can add me now as a devoted fan! My condolences on the loss of your father. I’m sorry that things didn’t work out the way you would have liked, but I thank you so much for such a wonderful message. I’m so thrilled that you enjoyed the stories. Of course, all of the characters are special to me, but I very much enjoyed writing Hank and Scott’s story. Hello Mr. Marchwell, I have recently begun to read your books. Istarted with Good to know, (which I loved) which caused me to want to read the rest of your titles, An Earlier Heaven,Still and small voice, and now Falling, and When Memory Fails, I have to say the last two were my favorite. I have enjoyed your writing style very much, I enjoy your subject matter and the way you handle it. ( I lost my own father a couple of years ago and did not quite get the ending I would like to have had, so I was very touched by the scenes with Hank and Scott and the passing of his father. You wrote it very sincerly .)I read your books over the coarse of three days non stop. I agree with a previous comment, please keep writing in the style that you do, I very much enjoy strong men that can be gental and caring enough for the long haul good luck in your future endevors.
