About D.W.

When D.W. Marchwell is not teaching future generations the wonders of science, he can usually be found hiking, writing, riding horses, trying new recipes or searching for – and lovingly restoring -discarded antique furniture.  A goofy and incurable romantic, D.W. admits that his stories are inspired by actual events and that he has a soft spot for those where boy not only meets boy but also turns out to be boy’s soul mate.  After almost fifteen years of working his way across Canada, D.W. has finally found the perfect place to live at the foot of the Canadian Rockies.  He still can’t believe how lucky he is, and, as his grandmother taught him, counts his blessings every day.

    Hi D. W. ,
Congrats on your new Web site. I have all of your novels and as a matter of fact I am re-reading Falling. It was the first one of your books I bought and I enjoy going back again and again reading it. I am looking forward to your new stories. Best of luck.

I just finished Falling, it is a first of yours that I’ve read, and I truly enjoyed it. It is a wonderful, beautiful love story that wrapped around my heart with its spectacular imagery and romance. I have lived my entire life in the northwest, and your story makes me love it even more. Thank you for the great and awesome book. It ia one of my most favorite. I will be be reading the rest of your books thats for sure.

    Sincerely,
    Darcy

    • Hello Darcy:
Thank you for the wonderful words about “Falling” and for taking the time to let me know your thoughts. I’m so glad that you enjoyed the story. I got the idea for the story in 2009 while watching a television program called “Heli-loggers” and had to rely heavily on the breathtaking scenery – since I’ve lived my entire life in the prairies. I’ve only been to Duncan a couple of times and I found it to be incredibly beautiful.
Thanks again for the kind praise, and for stopping by the new website.
